| kayaksrfr1069 | Im hearing a 'Clunk' That I can feel in the footwell since after the work I had done on the car... I cant identify what it is but of course my first thought was the new lower ball joints... I raised the car and did the crowbar trick, and pulled on the wheels, and theyre perfectly fine. No play. Here are the conditions: Going into and out of the driveway (Usually on an angled approach) Going over a speed bump (Slowly of course... it will do it in the front when both the front AND rear wheels go over the bump) It doesnt seem to do it any other time, Im thinking suspension movement past a certain point, and it seems to primarily be coming from the drivers side. Here is a list of the work I did on the front end: New lower ball joints (Updated version)
New VSLs
Crossbar modification tying in shock towers
4 wheel alignment Im also wondering if having the car on jack stands for ~3 months could have screwed up the old front shocks, because the rear had locked up once they were extended (which is why I wound up replacing the rears) Thoughts please?

| jimsutton | What shocks are on the car ??? Some of the Prowlers had the Dynamic shocks,and I had a set of them on mine they made a sound like that - they were wore out and the spring was the only thing holding them to gather . Only way to check them is take them off the car and check them out .. |
| 401KAT | make sure whoever did work tightened bottom of front coilovers and other components...U have to loosen several pieces when working with the a-arms and joints....jim |

| Tom Mills | A clunk going in and out of the driveway at an angle is usually the rear frame braces that go forward out at an angle from the rear crossmember. Tighten them up and it goes away. |

| mslc10 | Do you feel it in the steering wheel? Is there any play/sloping the steering wheel? If so chk steering mid shaft to steering colum shaft bolts.... |
| kayaksrfr1069 | I can check that but steering feels fine, I do not feel it in the wheel but I do in the floorboard on my left foot. Shes going back to the shop this week... |
| dbudner | I had lose bolts around the suspension pushrod. All were around the top. Also had the shocks leak later but there was no noise after I went through and re-tightened everything.I bought the car new and they were lose from the factory. Just a thought... |
| mslc10 | VSLs mounted correct side of sway bar so they are not hitting the frame?
Sway bar bolts thightened?

| kayaksrfr1069 | VSLs are fine, initial diagnosis is that the passenger side shock is binding or seizing... which is pretty much what happened with the drivers rear when she was sitting on jack stands. |
